Alimentación del gaucho serrano Agriornis montanus maritimus (D’Orbigny & Lafresnaye, 1837) (Passeriformes: Tyrannidae) en el norte de Neuquén, Argentina

El objetivo de este trabajo es documentar la dieta de Agriornis montanus maritimus (Aves: Passeriformes) a partir de restos de presas presentes en egagrópilas provenientes del Volcán Auca Mahuida, departamento Pehuenches, Argentina. Se examinaron un total de 35 egagrópilas correspondientes a dos sitios de estudio. Se encontró que la mayoría del contenido de las egagrópilas eran restos de saurios (Fam. Liolaemidae) y muy escasos restos de artrópodos u otro componente animal. La dieta de A. m. maritimus para los sitios de colecta y el mes de septiembre estaría compuesta en su mayoría por saurios y en menor medida por artrópodos.
The objective of this work is to document the production of pellets in Agriornis montanus maritimus (Aves: Passeriformes) from the Auca Mahuida Volcano, Pehuenches Department, Argentina, and the food items from them. A total of 35 pellets from two study sites were examined. It was found that the majority of the pellet volume contained remains of saurians and very few remains of arthropods or other animal components. The diet of A. m. maritimus for the collection sites and the month of September is composed mostly of saurians and to a lesser extent of arthropods.
