Summary— Nowadays, the city of Parana faces a series of challenges which have not been addressed effectively. Among them, one of the problems is soil and air pollution, mainly caused by the wrong management and organization of garbage dumps in the city. This can cause health and hygiene problems for the neighbourhood residents near the Parana garbage dump. The main purpose of this project is to address the problem related to soil and air pollution in the neighbourhood near the Paraná garbage dump. A possible solution to this problem is the construction of a waste-to-energy plant.
Resumen— Hoy en día, la ciudad de Paraná enfrenta una serie de desafíos que no han sido abordados de manera efectiva. Entre ellos, uno de los problemas es la contaminación del suelo y del aire, provocada principalmente por el mal manejo y organización de los basurales en la ciudad. Esto puede causar problemas de salud e higiene a los vecinos del barrio cercano al basural de Paraná. El objetivo principal de este proyecto es abordar el problema relacionado con la contaminación del suelo y del aire en el barrio cercano al basural de Paraná. Una posible solución a este problema es la construcción de una planta de conversión de residuos en energía.
